Following a spectacular launch at the Museum of Liverpool, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus will travel to London for this year’s Meltdown Festival.
The festival, which has been curated by Yoko Ono and features artists including Iggy Pop, Siouxsie, Patti Smitz, Boy George, Savages and many more, will host the bus over the full ten day programme, offering young people, the general public and artists alike the opportunity to experience this extraordinary vehicle.
The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus which is dedicated to providing the young people of Europe with free hands-on opportunities to produce original music, video, photo, game app and broadcast projects within the bus’s mobile recording studios, will station on the iconic Southbank for it’s first ever visit to London.
“I’m so thrilled that the Educational Tour Bus will be situated at Meltdown. All kids who are interested in making music and learning how to use instruments in the recording studio should come and make use of this feebie!”

In 2010, Montblanc supported this great project for the first time and accompanied the bus during its tour through the USA. This year, Montblanc once again supports the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus and its effort to give students of all ages the possibility to learn more about music and its production as part of their education. Stopping at local schools, colleges and festivals, the bus and its staff strive to reach as many people as possible in order to inspire students to create art, music and film.
